What should I do to prepare for the cleaning ?
    When cleaning wall to wall, we will move the larger pieces of furniture, clean behind them, and then move them back. However, we do ask that, if possible, you move smaller pieces of furniture such as floor lamps, plants, and children’s toys out of the room as well as collectibles. NOTE: We do not open closed doors and clean under or behind – if you want this area cleaned please have them open.
     There are some things that common sense will not let us move, such as china cabinets, pianos, entertainment centers, freezers, refrigerators, and stoves. We pre-vacuum as part of our service. We do ask that, for their own safety, children and pets be kept out of the area while we are cleaning.  
 
How long does it take carpet and upholstery to dry ?
    Our deep cleaning process cleans the entire fiber from base to tip and extracts 90+ percent of the free water moisture. Most of the drying takes place in the first three to four hours; however, complete drying may take 12 to 24 hours. Using fans, opening doors and windows, weather permitting, and operating your heating or cooling system will speed the process. We will place protectors under your furniture. Please leave them there until the carpet is completely dry.
 
Can I use my carpet and upholstery before it is completely dry ?
    Damp carpet can be walked on; however, you should be very careful walking from the carpet to a hard surface floor as the moisture will make the floor slippery. Also, any dirt on your shoes will transfer onto the clean carpet.
    Do not sit on damp upholstery as the fabric is considerably weaker when moist. Also, dye transfer to or from your clothes may occur. If the upholstery has been dry cleaned, air movement is essential, preferably out-of-doors.
 
Can carpet and upholstery be cleaned too often ?
No. This idea started because of methods that left soil-attracting residue on the carpet. The method we use is capable of rinsing residue from our cleaning agents out of your fabric.
Will cleaning help prolong the life of my fabric ?
   Yes. Automotive manufacturers recommend changing the oil in your car at frequent intervals. Why ? Dirt gets into the oil and damages the steel in your car’s engine. 
    Through proper vacuuming and frequent professional cleaning, you can extend the life of your fabrics and avoid the high cost of replacement.
 
What if I have allergies ?         
We offer several anti allergy cleaning systems including Hygienitec© Mattress Cleaning for Dust Mite control!
    Several studies published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology have shown that the indoor air we breathe is frequently more contaminated than outside air. Your carpet acts as a filter for these contaminants. Removing them will improve your overall indoor air quality. 
    We use soap free Procyon® which is a powerful, non-detergent, water soluble degreaser. Procyon® is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, totally sudsless, and leaves no soapy residue. 
 
What do you do with wastewater?
    We are very concerned with protecting our environment. Therefore, we have outfitted our trucks with a pump-out system that filters and pumps the wastewater into approved disposal sites.
 Will cleaning remove the mill-applied fabric protector?
    Fabric protectors are very resistant to cleaning agents. They do wear off over time, usually within 12 to 18 months, and should be reapplied. The rule of thumb for carpets is every third cleaning or at 18 months, which ever comes first.
 
Can you repair carpets ?
    Yes. We can repair many carpet problems such as burns, separated seams, and do restretch carpet.
 
Are there any additional charges for your cleaning ?
    Our seven-step cleaning process is very thorough. It includes pre-vacuuming, pre-treating all areas, mechanically agitating the pre-treatment into the carpet, hot water extraction, attempting to remove many spots and spills, grooming the carpet, and using air movers to speed the drying process. These steps are more than most companies include in their premium cleaning package.   
 
Because of our high level of skill, we offer other services at an additional price. They include: advanced stain removal, filtration soil cleaning (total removal is unlikely due to yellowing and physical relationship of carpet meeting base),pile lifting and urine decontamination.  
 
How do I clean up spots and spills ?
    If it is a liquid, thoroughly soak it up. If it is a solid stain, gently remove as much residue as possible, and then proceed. Place a stack of white paper towels over the spill and press down with your hands. Replace the paper towels, and continue until you have removed as much as possible. Then take a dry, white, preferably cotton towel and blot the spot. Never scrub spots. Poultice the area over night or 24 hours. If the stain remains, you will need to use a cleaning agent. We leave a bottle of “Spot Out” after each cleaning, with free lifetime refills. If you do not have the “Spot Out”, put a drop of liquid laundry detergent, NOT dishwashing detergent, on a cloth and blot the spill.
    Next, put white vinegar on a cloth, and blot the area to neutralize detergent residue. As a final step,
place a folded white towel over the spot, weigh it down with a heavy, waterproof object which will not transfer dyes, and leave it until the area is completely dry. This usually takes 24 hours. 
 
The Frequent Cleaner Program
   Cleaning more frequently ensures longer life and a more healthy indoor environment. We as a company are more efficient when the technicians are familiar with your home. Therefore we offer these additional discounts: 10% for 2 times in a 12 month period, 15% for 3 times in 12 months and 20% for 4 or more times in the 12 month period.
